There are NO store bought bottled dressings in my refrigerator. There has not been for a very, very long time. Why? Well, it is one of the easiest items you can make in your kitchen. A fresh dressing is only minutes away from the second you start.
The other day I noticed some blood oranges in my fruit bin. They needed to get used up. I took a few minutes and juiced them, the color of the liquid was gorgeous a deep purple-red tone. I added some vinegar, a pinch of salt and some olive oil. Then to give it some extra energy I added some fresh parsley and scallions. Whisked it together and poof a fresh delicious dressing was born.
The benefits over the bottled stuff are well worth the time. A fresh dressing has more vital life force. It gives the body bioavailable vitamins and minerals which means more energy for you in the long run. Many bottled dressings are also pasteurized which means simply, they are dead “energetically speaking”. And the rest of them sold in the store have been oxidizing over time while they are waiting to be sold. Loosing vital nutrients and life force.
Think “fresh”. Food that is prepared before a meal will give you more energy and more benefits than packaged foods ever can.
